A practical training session on pest repellent and liquid fertilizer production was held on June 16, 2025, in Mada Ara, Hambantota. The program aimed to promote sustainable agricultural practices among local farmers by introducing cost-effective, eco-friendly alternatives to chemical inputs.

The training was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Yasalal Priyantha, Field Officer, who shared his expertise on the preparation and application of organic pest repellents and liquid fertilizers. Valuable support was extended by Mr. A.J. Chandrasena, a committed volunteer, who assisted in coordinating the event.

Participants gained hands-on experience in preparing agricultural inputs using locally available materials, fostering self-reliance and environmentally responsible farming practices. The initiative received positive feedback and is expected to support long-term improvements in productivity and soil health in the Mada Ara region.
