Entrepreneurship and Agribusiness Training for Jadura CBO Members in Hambantota
A training programme on Entrepreneurship Development, Market Orientation, Marketing of Agricultural Products, and Business Planning was conducted for the members of the Jadura Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Hambantota on the morning of 18th September 2025. The sessions were led by Mr. Gunawardana (Agronomist), Mr. Yasalal Priyantha, and Mr. A. J. Chandrasena (Volunteer), focusing on enhancing participants’ skills in agricultural marketing and sustainable business planning.

A training programme on Entrepreneurship Development, Market Orientation, Marketing of Agricultural Products, and Business Planning was conducted in Athapaththugama on 17th September 2025. The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Gunawardana (Agronomist), Mr. Yasalal Priyantha (F.O.), and Mr. A. J. Chandrasena (Volunteer), providing valuable knowledge and guidance to participants on advancing agricultural enterprises through effective business and marketing strategies.
The Food Security staff of the National Center conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation visit to the Galle Diocese from 27th to 29th August 2025. The visit aimed to assess ongoing initiatives, review project progress, and provide guidance to strengthen the implementation of food security programs in the region.
A workshop for children on Social Media and Digital Platforms to promote gender equality was conducted on 14th August 2025 at CoDeSeP, Deniyaya. The session, designed for children from Grade 9 upwards, focused on topics including gender equality in the digital space, safe and responsible use of social media, recognizing and combating gendered online hate speech, promoting positive and inclusive content, tackling cyber gender-based violence, and encouraging youth-led advocacy initiatives.
