Trauma and Healing Session Empowers Women of Deniyaya Top Division

A special session on “Trauma and Healing” was conducted for the Women’s Group of Deniyaya Top Division on 19th June 2025 at CODESEP, under the Peace Project jointly organized by Caritas SED Galle and CODESEP.

The session, attended by 35 women, was designed to address the unique challenges women face in coping with trauma and to provide tools for emotional and psychological healing. The resource person, Mrs. M.C. Jeewanthika — a nursing officer and specialist in psychology and counseling — led the session with a focus on practical healing techniques.

Family Mental Health and Well-being Session Held at CODESEP Center, Deniyaya

A program focused on family mental health and well-being was conducted for the target women’s group at the CODESEP Center in Deniyaya on May 31, 2025.

Land Rights Awareness Program Held in Galle District

A significant land rights awareness program was conducted today, November 30, 2024, at Udugama, Homadhola Estate in Galle District. The program was organized by the Galle District CSO with the support of the Nagoda Divisional Secretariat Office.
Over 165 plantation workers from the Udugama plantation sector benefited from this session. The program was led by Mr. P.G. Anura, the Provincial Land Commissioner, who is currently serving as the Head Quarters Land Officer in the Southern Provincial Land Commissioner’s Department.
