A Land Literacy and Legal Awareness Programme was conducted on 24th September 2025 for the members of the Munamalpe Shakthi Society CBO in Welipitiya, Matara.

The programme was led by Mr. Sandaruwan (Land Officer, Welipitiya Division) with the support of Mrs. Chamila Priyadarshani (Agricultural Research and Production Assistant), the Field Officer, and a volunteer team.

The session focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of land rights, legal procedures, and sustainable land management practices. The initiative aimed to empower community members with the necessary knowledge to address land-related issues while contributing to stronger community development and food security.
