On 24th September 2025, Watagedaramulla School in Welipitiya initiated a redesigning project of its school home garden under the ongoing food security and sustainability efforts.

The project aims to create a more productive and eco-friendly garden space, providing students with hands-on experience in agriculture while promoting healthy eating habits and environmental stewardship. The redesigned home garden will also serve as a learning model for the local community, encouraging wider adoption of sustainable cultivation practices.
