A Distribution Program aimed at strengthening sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture was successfully conducted on October 17, 2025, in Angunakolapalassa under the Food Security Project. The program focused on supporting selected beneficiaries from five communities — Jadura, Daha Amuna, Meda Ara, Athapaththugama, and Barawakubuka.
As part of this initiative, beneficiaries received Micro Irrigation Systems, Vermicompost Units, and Drought-Tolerant Crops to enhance their farming productivity and resilience against dry climate conditions.
The event was graced by Rev. Fr. Director, along with Ms. Amitha (A.R. & P.A.), Mr. Yasalal Priyantha, Field Officer, and Mr. A. J. Chandrasena, Volunteer. Their active participation and encouragement inspired farmers to adopt eco-friendly and efficient agricultural methods.
This distribution marks a significant step toward promoting sustainable agriculture, improving soil health, and ensuring long-term food security for farming families in the Angunakolapalassa region.
