A Capacity Building Training Program for Farmers was successfully conducted on 24th June 2025 in Udukawa South, Welipitiya, Matara. The training was organized for members of the Siriliya Community-Based Organization (CBO) with the objective of enhancing agricultural knowledge and improving farming practices at the community level.

The session was led by Mr. Indika Priyadarshana (Agricultural Research and Production Assistant), with valuable contributions from Mrs. Nanayakkara, Ms. P.N.S. Fernando (Field Officer), and Ms. Ramani (Volunteer).

Participants received practical insights into modern and sustainable agricultural techniques, resource management, and productivity improvement methods. The training aimed to empower local farmers by building their capacity to adopt climate-resilient and economically viable agricultural practices.

This initiative marked a significant step in strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting food security through education and community engagement.
