A Business Ideas Generating Program was successfully conducted for the Barawakubuka Community-Based Organization (CBO) members in Barawakubuka, Hambantota, on October 10, 2020, under the Food Security Project.
The program aimed to inspire and guide community members in developing innovative and practical business ideas to strengthen their household income and promote long-term self-reliance.
The session was conducted by Mr. Gunawardana, Agronomist, with the active support of Mr. Yasalal Priyantha, Field Officer, and Mr. A. J. Chandrasena, Volunteer. Through interactive discussions and practical guidance, participants were encouraged to identify local resources and opportunities to create viable small-scale enterprises.
This initiative marked an important step in empowering rural communities under the Food Security Project, fostering entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth in the Hambantota region.
