On 20th June 2025, the Rev. Fr. Director of Caritas SED Galle conducted a special field visit to meet with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) engaged in farming activities in Denipitiya Central, Welipitiya.

The visit focused on reviewing the progress and challenges faced by the 2024 registered farmers with disabilities in the area, as part of ongoing efforts to promote inclusive development and livelihood support under Caritas SED Galle’s agricultural and social empowerment programs.

During the visit, the Rev. Fr. Director interacted with the farmers, inspected their cultivation practices, and discussed future support plans to strengthen their agricultural productivity and well-being. The visit highlighted the organization’s continued commitment to uplifting marginalized communities through compassionate, hands-on engagement.
