Distribution of Dry Rations, Education and Medical Assistance Under CSL DRR Plan –Enhancing the Resilience of the Victims of the Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka
DRR - During the period from 1st June to 30th September 2022, Caritas SED Galle with the support of Caritas Sri Lanka distributed dry rations, education and medical assistance to most vulnerable communities, poor and vulnerable Parishioners in 17 parishes, elderly, disable and persons suffering from various ailments and children who needed educational assistance.

Anticipatory Response to Southwest Monsoon in Southern Province of Sri Lanka

This Project was a short term funded by Start Network, England. The aim of this project was to provide relief and response to damages and water disaster situation caused by Southwest monsoon in Southern Province of Sri Lanka. We selected Athuraliya and Akuressa DS Divisions in Matara District as they are the most prone DS Divisions to flood damages in Southern Province.


Provided Medical & Education aid for 75 selected peoples at CODESEP
This aid is especially for those who are affected by present economic crisis of the country. Among them there were 25 medical assistances for those who are affected by non-communicable diseases like Cancer, Kidney disease, heart diseases and 50 Education aids for the students from the low income families. under Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR Project)

Feeding Programme by the Sisters of Missionaries of Charity
Caritas SED Galle recently distributed essential items including dry rations to 200 very poor and vulnerable families with the intervention of the Sisters of Missionaries of Charity. It was a loving concern shown by Sisters of Missionaries of Charity towards each and every person especially elderly and those who are in need especially affected by the present economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
