On 18th June 2025, a practical training session on Pest Repellent and Liquid Fertilizer Production was conducted at the Daha Amuna Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Hambantota. The program was organized under the Food Security Project implemented by Caritas SED Galle.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Yasalal Priyantha (Field Officer) with the support of volunteer Mr. Chandrasena. The session aimed to equip community members with knowledge and skills to produce natural, eco-friendly agricultural inputs to enhance crop health and reduce dependency on chemical products.

Participants were introduced to the preparation methods, application techniques, and benefits of using organic pest repellents and liquid fertilizers. The initiative supports sustainable farming practices and strengthens household-level food production, contributing to long-term food security in the region.
