On 20th June 2025, the Rev. Fr. Director of Caritas SED Galle carried out a monitoring visit to the Welipitiya Division in the Matara District as part of the ongoing Food Security Project.

The visit aimed to assess the progress of project activities, engage with beneficiary communities, and ensure the effective implementation of sustainable agricultural practices promoted through the initiative.

During the visit, the Rev. Fr. Director interacted with project staff, field officers, and local farmers, observing home gardens, crop cultivation efforts, and community participation. The visit reaffirmed Caritas SED Galle’s commitment to supporting grassroots food security and strengthening livelihoods in rural communities through regular field-level engagement and follow-up.
