A training program on nursery management and vermicomposting was conducted in Mada Ara, Hambantota, on 17th July 2025 under the Food Security Project. The session brought together 20 CBO members and staff, focusing on improving skills in sustainable nursery operations and the production of organic worm compost.

The training was led by Agronomist Mr. Gunawardana and Miss Deepa, Agricultural Research & Production Assistant. Field Officer Mr. Yasalal Priyantha and volunteer Mr. A. J. Chandrasena also supported the event. The program aimed to strengthen community-based agricultural practices and promote eco-friendly farming methods.
