Deniyaya, October 30, 2025 — An Inter-Diocesan Family-Based Exchange Visit between the Kandy and Galle Dioceses was successfully held at the CODESEP Centre in Deniyaya as part of the ongoing Peace and Reconciliation Initiative jointly carried out by the two dioceses.

Organized with the support of the CODESEP Galle team, the program brought together families from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds to foster unity, understanding, and long-term harmony. Families from the Kandy Diocese travelled to the Galle Diocese area to engage in meaningful exchanges, sharing personal stories, challenges, and achievements related to peacebuilding within their communities.

The day’s proceedings featured an engaging intercultural dialogue session, group discussions, spiritual reflections, and cultural sharing activities. These interactions encouraged participants to build friendships rooted in mutual respect while learning from each other’s traditions and experiences.

The event further highlighted the importance of strong family values, peaceful coexistence, and collective responsibility in nurturing a culture of harmony.
