A training program on nursery management and vermicomposting was held in Jadura, Hambantota, on the evening of 16th July 2025, with the participation of CBO members and the full staff team. The session was conducted by Agronomist Mr. Gunawardana, along with Miss Isuri, Agricultural Instructor from the Agunakolapelessa Agrarian Center, and Miss Amitha from the Agricultural Research & Production Assistant Office in Jadura.

The program was organized under the guidance of Field Officer Mr. Yasalal Priyantha and supported by volunteer Mr. A. J. Chandrasena. The training aimed to improve participants’ knowledge of sustainable plant nursery techniques and the preparation of organic worm compost to enhance agricultural productivity.
