A workshop for children on Social Media and Digital Platforms to promote gender equality was conducted on 14th August 2025 at CoDeSeP, Deniyaya. The session, designed for children from Grade 9 upwards, focused on topics including gender equality in the digital space, safe and responsible use of social media, recognizing and combating gendered online hate speech, promoting positive and inclusive content, tackling cyber gender-based violence, and encouraging youth-led advocacy initiatives.

The interactive workshop, using real-life scenarios and case studies, benefited 45 children from both Sinhala and Tamil communities. The program was organized under the Peace Project and funded by Caritas SED – Galle.
