A specialized training session on pond fish breeding was conducted at the Pond Fish Breeding Center, Ranna, Kattakaduwa, Hambantota, on 15th July 2025 under the Food Security Project. The program was led by Mr. Nalin, Pond Fish Consultant from the Jala Jeewi Center, and Mr. Asoka from the Breeding Center.

Four CBO members participated in the training, which was further supported by Project Manager Mr. Indunil, Field Officer Mr. Yasalal Priyantha, and volunteer Mr. Chandrasena. The session aimed to enhance participants’ practical knowledge of sustainable fish breeding techniques to boost community-based aquaculture initiatives.
