A Board of Directors’ meeting of Caritas Sri Lanka (SEDEC) was held  at Caritas SED Galle Staff Room on 26th August 2023. It was a truly a memorable occasion as it was the first time a Board of Directors’ Meeting was facilitated at Caritas SED Galle.

Before the commencement of the meeting,  Holy Mass was celebrated by the Bishop of Galle (Most Rev Dr Raymond Wickramasinghe)and con-celebrated by Rt Rev Dr Justin Gnanapragasm (Chairmann of Bishops Conference of Sri Lanka) and Rt Rev Dr Maxwell Grencille Silva (Vice Chairman) with the participation of Rev Fr Luke Nelson Perera, National Director of Caritas Sri Lanka, Directors representing all Diocesan Centers and few of National staff.

Thereafter, a tree planting  was conducted  by all above participants as a symbol of inauguration of Board of Directors’ meeting at Caritas SED Galle and also with the aim of  improving  the quality of our natural surroundings.  The Chairman, Vice Chairman of Bishops Conference and all Diocesan Directors planted a tree at Caritas SED Galle home garden.  

The meeting commenced at 10.00 am and continued till 12.30 PM and all participants left for Matara to attend Holy Mass at  the Shrine of Our Lady of Matara.
