Long-term plants were distributed to 160 members of Environmental Saving Groups in Hambantota
Long -term plants were distributed on 14th June 2024 to 160 members of Environmental Saving Groups at Katuwewa, Salmalaya, Mahara, Liyangastota,Bolatiya, Bambiniyanwela,Gamunupura, Suriyapokuna and Debokkawa in Hambantota District. These Environmental Saving Groups were established under Sri Lanka's Natural Environment (SSEP) Project. Rev Fr Michael Rajendram (Director of Caritas SED Galle) and Mr Sirantha (Program Manager of SSEP) participated at these distributions. The long-term plants distributed were coconut, pepper, lime and pomegranate.
